Becoming More Fully Yourself
Updated: 2 days ago
Maybe freedom is in finally being willing to meet yourself.
After all the searching.
All the working.
All the becoming.
All the trying to find your place in the world.
To turn toward the shadows.
To release what no longer needs to be carried.
To let go of the armour.
To choose a simpler life.
To risk discovering who you are when there’s nothing left to prove.
To let motherhood change you,
without losing yourself inside it.
To find your way back to family,
and also to understand what family really means.
To stop asking whether you’re doing enough,
and start to feel what’s actually yours to give.
To contribute from a place that’s real,
instead of a need to be seen.
To accept the weird, beautiful, unfinished person
you’ve become through it all.
Maybe this is what becoming is:
not becoming more,
but becoming more fully yourself.
And then building a life from there.
