The Small Things That Bring Us Back
Sometimes life becomes about getting through the day.
The meals.
The laundry.
The appointments.
The tired kid.
The unfinished things.
The things that keep asking to be done.
And sometimes, in those seasons,
it’s easy to forget what all the doing is meant to make room for.
So maybe we remember in small ways.
A familiar walk.
A little time at the park.
Music playing while making supper.
A flower on the table.
Paint on the page.
Something warm from the oven.
Noting a beautiful sky on the way home.
Not because everything is suddenly fine.
Not because we’ve escaped survival mode.
But because even here, in the ordinary middle of things, life is still happening.
And the small splashes of creativity and beauty weaved in aren’t extras.
They’re how we remember what we’re living for.
